Couples photoshoots in Japan

Private sessions in Tokyo, Kyoto, and beyond. Just the two of you, a photographer who disappears into the background, and the Japan you came to see.

Our approach

Photos that feel like you, not like a shoot

We have spent years learning how couples actually move, laugh, and connect in Japan. The result is a style that feels effortless — because it is. You never feel like you are performing.

Documentary first

We follow the moment, we do not choreograph it.

Location knowledge

We know where the light falls and when the crowds thin.

No awkward posing

Gentle prompts that lead to real reactions, not stiff frames.

Edited with care

Natural colours, honest light. Nothing overdone.

The experience

A date in Japan, with photos to prove it

Your session is not a performance. It is an afternoon — exploring a neighbourhood, stopping at a coffee shop, watching the city move. The camera is there, but it is never the point.

Two to four hours

Enough time to settle in and forget we are there.

Multiple locations

We plan a route with variety — streets, gardens, light.

A pre-shoot call so we know what matters to you.

Couples photoshoot FAQ

The most common questions about booking a couples session in Japan.

You really do not need to pose. Our photographers work by giving you simple prompts — walk here, look at that — and then capturing what happens naturally. Most couples tell us they forgot the camera was there after the first ten minutes.

For most couples, one hour is a good starting point. It gives you enough time to relax into the session and visit one or two locations. Two hours lets you cover more ground and different types of light. Thirty minutes works well if you want a focused set of beautiful images from one location.

Wear what makes you feel like yourselves. Coordinating colours — not matching exactly — tends to look great in photos. Avoid very busy patterns that pull focus away from your faces. Your photographer will send you notes before the shoot with specific tips for your chosen location and season.

Yes. When you book, you can browse photographer profiles and choose the one whose style resonates with you. If you are unsure, you can also let us match you based on your session details.

Rain in Japan actually makes for beautiful photos — reflections, umbrellas, quieter streets. We always shoot unless conditions are genuinely unsafe. If you would prefer to reschedule, your photographer will discuss options with you.

Edited photos are delivered within 5 to 7 business days via a private online gallery. You will receive a download link with full resolution files.
